Gritting arrangements today Thursday

Medway Council working with VolkerHighways have been out treating the primary road network since mid afternoon and will be undertaking a second run again on the primary route network later in the night.(Wednesday)

Chatham and Gillingham Town Centres have been and will be treated to a 2nd run over night.

Pavements in Strood, Rochester, Rainham Precinct, Station Road Rainham and Parkwood will be hand treated starting at around 7.00am tomorrow morning (Thursday) subject to Veolia cleansing staff being able to report for work.

The above treatments will aim to keep the primary route network open and also assist pedestrians in gaining access to major public transport centres and town centre facilities.

Well done to all the Highway team at Medway Council, a cold and difficult job today.
