Hot off of the press is the news that the applicants for a fast food takeaway at the Old Shell Garage on the A2 opposite Edwin Road have gone to appeal.
It is their right of course, we will have to wait for the outcome of the appeal and hope that the Inspector agrees with us, we will of course keep you posted.
Here are the appeal details:
TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
Town & Country Planning (General Development Procedure Order) 1995 (as amended)
APPLICATION NUMBER: MC/09/1078
PROPOSAL: Erection of a two storey building to include ground floor A1 to Hot food take away (A5) and 2 one bed flats at first floor level
LOCATION: Shell Garage 16-22 London Road Rainham Gillingham ME8 6YX
Following a Refusal of planning permission by Medway Council, an appeal has now been made to the Secretary of State, via the Planning Inspectorate, in respect of the above mentioned application.
The appeal is to be decided following an exchange of written statements by the parties concerned and following a site visit by an Inspector.
Any representations you made to the Council when the application was originally being considered will automatically be sent to the Planning Inspectorate. Should you wish to comment further on the appeal it should be made in writing, in triplicate, by 12 August, 2010 (quoting the Inspectorate’s appeal reference number above), to The Planning Inspectorate, Room 3/14 Eagle, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Bristol, BS1 6PN.
If the Inspectorate receives representations after the deadline they will not normally be seen by the Inspector and they will be returned.
